🧾 Binding Spells & Conditions (Terms & Conditions)

Welcome to Wordlocks.ink. By purchasing services through this site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making any magical transactions.
1. Services
Wordlocks.ink provides writing, editing, and creative content services. Specific services offered and their respective details will be outlined on individual service pages or through custom agreements. (Note: We can’t cast actual magic spells and are not available for birthday parties—although we have been known to make the occasional cake disappear.)
2. Payment Terms
Payment is required in full unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement. Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout. All prices are listed in USD (or batwings), and you are responsible for any applicable taxes, magical tolls, or goblin handling fees.
3. Revisions Policy
Unless otherwise stated, services include up to 2 revisions within 3 days of delivery. Revisions are defined as reasonable adjustments or edits to the original scope. Major changes or new requests may incur additional fees. In other words, we might pull a quarter from behind your ear to help fund wand polish, owl snacks, and other critical business expenses.
4. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of custom creative work, refunds are generally not provided once work has begun. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of Wordlocks.ink and a shadowy guild of content sorcerers with strong opinions and even stronger coffee.
5. Intellectual Property
Upon full payment, rights to the final delivered work will transfer to the client, unless otherwise agreed upon. Wordlocks.ink retains the right to display work in a portfolio or promotional materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing. And said writing is expected to be submitted in long scroll form, sprinkled with glyphs and other sigils (or, failing that, a polite email).
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to provide all necessary materials, information, and feedback in a timely manner. Delays in communication may result in project delays or additional charges. For faster responses, consider sending enchanted parchment, using crystal ball conferencing, or dispatching a well-trained raven with a flair for deadlines.
7. Limitation of Liability
Wordlocks.ink is not liable for any damages resulting from the use—or misuse—of any delivered content. All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Occasionally, spells may fail, resulting in small clouds of smoke that may incur smoke damage and/or turn you into an amphibian. Wordlocks.ink assumes no responsibility for either outcome.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate a project in writing. In the event of early termination, the client is responsible for payment for all work completed up to that point. We also reserve the right to terminate any contract—or put a magical curse on you—should things get truly cursed. (Note: Our legal team advised us not to use actual curses. But we do know a guy.)
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the US, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction—or in the courts of potion-juggling jesters reciting archaic Latin legalese, whichever is available at the next solstice.
10. Changes to These Terms
Wordlocks.ink reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes, including any unexpected transformations involving pets or houseplants.
